The main army groups's leadership styles have been ones for the results in strong control system nowadays.
But the level of army personnels is changing highly in scholarship and growth environment.
Therefore, the leadership style needs to be developed.
The direction of the army leadership type should br found in the democratic leadership type.
And then we could conclude the solutions by comparing with two leadership types authoritarian and democratic and analizing them.
The purpose of this study is to present the developing directions of the army commanders' leadership through analizing leadership to lead servicemen under regiment and battalion level.
The application method of this study may be summarized as follows;
1. Gathering the sources of the application uses the method of guestionaire.
2. For the collection of general situations, the application objects are selected in officers who work at the two regiments of the forward area.
The basic analysis parts are main viewpoints for good leadership and understanding of situation.
3. For the identification of charactoristic situations, the application objects are chosen in soldiers who work under battalion level.(officer, NCO, private)
The result of the study shows that the successful leadership is given by how to apply proper leadership as situations.
It is not important which is better authoritarian or democratic.
The important things for successful commanding are flexibility, persuasion, concern for surbordinates and followers, mutual understanding and communication between members of the unit, conciliation, affection and etc.
Above all, affection for men could be emphasized to be the special keypoint for successful commander in the Korean unit.
