Purpose: This study is quasi-experimental study of nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest
design which applied High School Priority Educations of the Universities to High School Students
to look into the effect on the Career Self-Efficacy, Career Preparatory Behavior and Career Decision
Level.
Methods: Study object consists of High School Students in G district who has being able to
participate in the High School Priority Educations. They were divided into experimental group of
35 High School Students and control group of 35 High School Students. In order to measure
dependent variables, instruments included were the CDMSES-SF for Career Self-Efficacy(Taylor &
Betz, 1983), Career Preparatory Behavior(Kim, 1997), Career Decision Scale(Ko, 1993).
Experimental group was provided with High School Priority Educations one a week (180 minutes a
time) for 6 weeks, making a total of 6 times over 6 weeks from April 8 to May 20, 2017.
Pretest-posttest of experimental group and control group was conducted to collect data.
Results: There were significant differences between two groups in Career Self-Efficacy (t= 1.871,
p=.066), Career Preparatory Behavior(t=-2.209, p=.031), Career Decision Level(t= -5.192, p<.001).
Conclusion: The High School Priority Educations can help then relieve the Career Preparatory
Behavior, Career Decision Level. In addition, it is required to develop an appropriate High School
Priority Educations considering level and experience of High School students.
