시장경제의 논리와 공평사회의 윤리 = A Study on the Logic of Market Economy and Ethics of Fair Society

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Present existing market economics has long history, and it depends more on spontaneous exchange than impartial ethics. The logic of market economy is the logic of reasonable choice. The result of this choice is opportunity cost. As A. Smith has said, market economy is economic system that can be solved by invisible hands. But economic ethics for fair society tries to alleviate economic subject`s suffering arising from the problems of decision making in the market economics. The economic ethics for fair society is composed of specific standards and theories of economic ethics that are based on the belief that people are beings that pursue happiness, and when they have understood the concept of interdependence, they cannot but follow the maximization of utilities for fair society. The fair ethics for the Public common society can be systematized and explained with four principles. First, individuals must not maximize their utilities. Instead, their economic actions are based on impartial solidarity with community. Second, corporations must not maximize profit but also be in a state of irenic fusions where they are pursuing actions benefiting themselves as well as consumers and the impartial society. Third, all economic decision-making and actions of producers and consumers must be carried out in a state of equity view of oriental value systems including Confucianism and Buddhism. Forth, all economic actions must be appropriate to the contextual situation and properly balanced on the ethics of fairness for oneself and others.
