A low control arm must be designed to endure various loads transmitted from driving. For safety evaluation of a low control arm, many evaluating methods have been conducted. Because analytical methods are very efficiency to reduce the development time and coast, those are normally adopted in the design process of the low control arm. However, almost analytical methods ignored effects of rubber bushes and ball joint which are used to connect between a low control arm and a frame. Behavior of bushes and ball joint were expressed by using spring element and realistic rotation condition. The yield load and deformation behavior of low control arm were predicted and those results were verified by comparing with the test results.
