(Background and Purpose) Based on the theory of consumer behavior, companies are attempting to provide overall experiences using strategic experience modules, which are the starting point of experiential marketing, in the sales space. Therefore, this study examines cases of sales space planning that have used the space component of visual merchandising for sales promotion based on the strategic experience modules of experiential marketing. The analysis of these cases examines correlation and its importance. The purpose of this study is to strategically recognize and reaffirm the importance of experiential marketing in the business space. (Method) As a specific method of study, firstly, major living and sports brands for sales display are selected as analysis targets for the case study. Next, the evaluation framework and evaluation tables for case analysis are made by extracting the evaluation items through theoretical review. These evaluation items are quantified on the basis of Likert scale for quantitative evaluation and schematized in diagram. The correlation and importance of the factors are analysed for the conclusion. (Result) The results of the study are as follows. First, the results of case analysis showed that emotion was the most important strategic experience module factor, followed by sense, behavior, cognition and relationship while FP was the most important visual merchandising space factor, followed by VP, HS, PP, and IP. In addition, the importance of experience was confirmed in the sales space by analyzing the importance of correlation between visual merchandising and strategic experience module as a means of sales promotion. The experiential spaces strategically provided by companies will become even more important in the future. Also, it showed that the recent consumption spaces revolve around experience. Accordingly, visual merchandising needs to be viewed from the point of view of experience-oriented marketing strategies, rather than the traditional marketing strategies. Likewise, visual merchandising, which has the role as a provider of the right experience, needs to establish a friendly relationship with consumers through continuous communication. (Conclusion) The changes in the consumption environment due to the increasing importance of emotional value hastened the advent of the so-called experiential economy, which has a close relationship with the customer experience. In other words, companies and brands stimulate customer emotions through experience and provide special experiences. Through this experiential marketing strategy, companies and brands will be able to gain competitive advantage and earn a key element of differentiation strategy.
