命理學과 MBTI의 性格心理에 관한 類似性 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

【국문초록】

본 논문은 동양의 명리학과 서양의 MBTI의 성격 심리유형의 유사성을 분석하여 명리학의 성격 심리의 이론에 보충적으로 활용하는 방법을 고찰하였다. 명리학 이론과 추리의 체계는 음양오행의 조화와 대립구조에 따른 상생상극과 중화원리를 중요한 성격유형 해석의 기준으로 삼고 있다. MBTI는 기본적으로 사람들의 에너지 방향, 인식기능, 판단기능, 생활양식 등의 지표에 근거하여, 그들의 반복된 행동에서 나타나는 습관과 성격이 우연히 생겨나는 것이 아니라는 데에 착안하여 16가지 유형으로 분류하였다.
명리학의 성격 유형의 이론과 분석방법은 MBTI와 다르지만, MBTI의 성격 심리 8가지 유형에 맞추어 명리학의 음양오행의 세력, 격국의 주기능과 부기능을 중심으로 설계하고 분석하였다. 연구 방법은 사주명리 상담자 220명을 표본대상으로 그들의 출생 연·월·일·시에 해당하는 사주를 바탕으로 분석하여 명리학의 성격 유형과 MBTI의 성격 유형의 두 이론의 유사성을 살펴보았다.
두 이론의 분석 방법은 명리학의 일간, 간지, 오행, 월지, 격국, 십성 등을 각 유형별로 5가지 항목으로 나누어 MBTI의 8가지 성격 유형에 적용하였다. 이를 분석한 내용은 명리학의 5가지 항목에 각각 10점씩 배당하여 50점 만점을 기준으로 점수를 수치화하여 MBTI의 8가지 성격 심리유형과 맞추어 비교 분석하였다. 두 이론을 통한 분석결과, 명리학의 성격 심리분석이 MBTI의 8가지 성격 심리유형과 유사하다는 매우 유의미한 결과를 얻게 되었다.
이는 향후 명리학과 MBTI의 성격 심리를 연구하고 분석하는 데 서로 도움이 될 수 있다는데 큰 의미가 있다고 본다. 이 연구를 통하여 명리학과 MBTI의 성격 유형 유사성 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여, 현대인의 심리상담을 하는 데 보다 체계적이고 효율성을 높일 수 있다는 가능성을 보았으며, 향후 이러한 명리학과 MBTI를 접목한 심리상담 방법이 수요자들에게 더 공감하고 신뢰받을 수 있는 도구로써 활용될 수 있다고 보았다.

in the Department of Myeongli Studies and MBTI

This paper examines the similarity between the personality psychological types of Si-Zhu Mingli and Western MBTI, with the goal of elucidating how Mingli's theories on personality psychology can enrich current conceptual frameworks. Mingli's theoretical framework and deductive system are centered on evaluating harmony and conflicting structures grounded in the principles of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, serving as foundational criteria for interpreting personality types. In contrast, MBTI classifies individuals into 16 types based on indicators such as energy direction, perception, judgment functions, and lifestyle. It underscores that the habits and personalities observed in individuals' recurrent behaviors are not haphazard but rather stem from ingrained habits and personality traits.
The theory and analysis methods of personality types in Mingli differ from MBTI; however, aligning with MBTI's 8 psychological types, the study designed and analyzed the influences of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements in Mingli, focusing on the primary and secondary functions within geomantic structures. The research methodology entailed analyzing the birth dates (year, month, date and time) of 220 subjects and utilizing their respective Si-zhu counseling charts to explore correlations between Mingli's personality types and those identified in MBTI.
The analytical approach in both theories entailed categorizing the eight personality types of MBTI into five distinct categories for each of Ilgan, Kanji, Ohaeng, Wolji, Keogguk, and Sipsung within the framework of Mingli studies. In the content analysis, scores of 10 points were assigned to each of the five Mingli items, accumulating to a total of 50 points. This scoring system was employed to quantify and compare the findings with MBTI's eight psychological types. The analytical outcomes from these two theories yielded a highly significant result, indicating a substantial similarity between Mingli's personality psychological analysis and the eight psychological types identified in MBTI.
This indicates substantial potential for collaborative support in the exploration and analysis of the personality psychology within Mingli and MBTI. Drawing on the observed similarities between Mingli and MBTI's personality types, this study proposes the prospect of refining the systematic and efficient facets of contemporary psychological counseling for individuals. Furthermore, integrating psychological counseling methods based on both Mingli and MBTI in the future could potentially create more empathetic and trustworthy tools for clients.
