“The Lucky Day” shows “the lost” about the individual and family in the society. By this short story, 玄鎮健 describes what he saw in the society. He tells deep concern and attention to people living in the lower society. He also adds his hopes and dreams of society during the short story collaterally.

Even though the main role (金僉知)looks happy, people also can be aware that there is large desolation behind him. “The Lucky Day” is a abysmal tragedy because of self-cheat from the leading man. He cloaks his tragical destiny which he can not change with slight joy. For the cause, this story is filled with irony and absurdity.
Between the title and content of this short story, we can find they have complete contrary intent. The writer brings dramatic artistry for this story by using this kind of writing art with contrast.
