Nuclear physics has been studied for 75 years. In addition, the
nuclear force that was introduced and manifested by the introduction
of quantum mechanics was studied to reveal the nuclear structure,
the existence of quarks, and the substructure that quarks might
generate. The trends in nuclear physics for study to clarify the
underlying mechanisms of these diverse and complex phenomena are
reviewed in the present paper, together with the prospects for
research goals in nuclear science research in Korea.
