아동의 학습지 구독 실태 및 가정환경과 학업성취도 = Research on actual state of subscription to workbooks, house circumstance and achievement schoolwork of children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

입시를 위한 사교육의 증가에 따라 1980년대부터 학습지 시장은 급격히 성장하여 왔다. 많은 학생들에게 학습지가 널리 사용되고 있으나, 사용실태나 선택 및 활용과 학습지에 대한 평가, 교육적 영향에 관한 연구가 매우 부족하다. 때문에 본 연구는 학습지의 구독실태와 가정환경점수와 학업성취도에 어떠한 관계가 있는지 살펴보고자 한다. 구체적으로 첫째, 학습지의 선택기준과 활용실태를 파악한다. 둘째, 아동의 기정환경이 어떠한지 살핀다. 셋째, 학습지 구독실태 및 가정환경과 아동의 학업성취도의 관계를 파악한다.
학습지 구독실태와 가정환경, 학업 성취도를 알아보기 위해서 광양 시내에 소재한 초등학교 두 곳의 3학년, 5학년 학부모 423명을 대상으로 설문지를 조사하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다
첫째, 조사 대상 대부분의 아동이 학습지를 사용하고 있어 대중적인 부교재로 자리잡고 있었다. 학습지 선택 기준은 자녀가 원하는 경우와, 주변 학생들이 많이 사용하는 것이 중요하였다.
둘째, 학습지의 가격, 인쇄나 제본의 질, 분량에 대해서는 학부모 대부분이 적당하다고 생각하고 있었다. 학부모는 학습지가 학교 성적향상에 대해서는 크게 영향을 준다고 보지는 않았으며, 분량에 대해서는 대부분이 적당하다고 생각하고 있었다. 이는 학부모들이 학습지 구독에 대해 검증되지 않은 기대를 많이 가지고 있어서 학습지 사용이 확대되고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.
셋째, 아동의 가정환경점수는 상당히 높은 편이어서, 이는 비교적 부모들이 아동의 가정환경을 적절하게 제공하고 있다고 보여진다.
넷째, 가정환경점수는 아동의 성별과 학년에 따라 차이가 없었다. 그러나 가정의 월 평균소득과 아버지의 학력에 따라 가정환경은 차이가 있었다. 소득이 높고 학력이 높은 집단의 가정환경점수가 높았다.
다섯째, 학습지 구독여부와 학업 성취도에는 차이가 없었으나 가정환경 상위집단의 아동이 하위집단의 아동보다 학업성취도가 높았다.
이는 비록 학습지 시장이 날로 확대되고 많은 부모가 자녀에게 학습지를 시키고 있지만, 학습지가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향은 거의 없었다는 것을 반영한다. 그에 비해 가정환경은 학업 성취도에 영향이 있었다는 점에서 부모들의 주관 있는 학습지 사용이 필요 할 것이다.

For the purpose of an entrance examination, the workbook market has been suddenly increased by reason of growth private education. Many students are studying with workbooks, but in fact, it is not enough that researches into the actual conditions, choosing, practical using, valuation of books and, influence upon the educations.
So, this report will examine the correlation of a home background with studying accomplishment and the present conditions.
Concretely, we catch hold of :
NO 1. Understanding the standard choice of books and application examples.
NO 2. Judging an circumstance of home.
NO 3. Understanding the correlation of a home background and the present doncitions of studying accomplishment.
For this subject, we made up questions 423 parents who has third year and fifth year
students which is two primary schools which is located in Kwang-Yang.
The results of a investigation is as follows :
Firstly, in the majority of students, they are using workbooks. So, it has received much recognition as the general public. The reference books are influenced by desired acknowledgment of neighbor students.
Secondly, most of them considered that is suitable price of books, printing of books, a quality of bookbinding, a quantity, and hope much from choosing the books.
By the way, they don't accepted it is not effective to obtain good results for schooling.
Thirdly, generally a house circumstance level is quite high, which gets good marks. Environment is the first consideration in the education of children. Judging from this, parents of children offered good environment.
Fourthly, there is no difference between the distinction of sex and a school year. But, there is a wide difference between the average monthly income of house and attainment in scholarship of father. The marks of a circumstance is influenced by great scholarstic ability and good income.
Fifth, there is no difference between the present conditions of books and studying accomplishment.
The children of the high group circumstance could be surpass others in ability. Therefore, we infer result from these facts. The workbooks hardly have a good effect on studying achievement.
On the other hand, a circumstance of house should be a essential element for students.
Up to now, it will be having a market share to extend little by little. Accordingly, all parents who has children what is using, they have to take a subjective view of choosing books and using.
