大學캠퍼스와 地域社會의 連繫性에 관한 硏究 : 京畿地域 第 2 캠퍼스를 中心으로 = (A) Study on the Cooperation between University and Community

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 현재 우리나라 대학 캠퍼스가 안고 있는 문제들을 대학과 주변여건변화 과정을 통해 그 원인을 분석하고 사례조사를 통하여 문제 해결방안으로써 대학이 위치한 지역사회와의 연계 방법을 제시한 대학캠퍼스와 지역사회의 연계성에 관한 연구이다. 이 연구는 우리나라 대학들이 앞으로 수년간 지금까지와는 다른 수많은 여건변화를 겪어야 하는 시점에서 지역사회와의 연계를 통하여 지역사회 발전은 물론 대학캠퍼스의 활성화 방안을 모색해 본다는 것에 의미를 가진다.
제 1장에서는 연구의 목적과 의의, 연구범위와 방법, 선행연구에 대한 검토가 이루어졌다. 선행연구의 검토에서는 기존 대학캠퍼스 관련 연구를 검토한 결과 대학캠퍼스 마스터플랜의 요소 중 연구의 대상이 대학시설에 극히 치중되어 있었고 포괄적 측면에서 대학캠퍼스가 위치한 지역사회와 연관되게 분석하고 있지 못하여 대학이 앞으로 당면할 여러 여건변화에 단지 도식화된 계획안으로서의 연구만이 있음이 문제점으로 발견되었다. 이것은 계속되는 연구들을 통해 여러 여건변화에 적응하며 실제로 실현될 수 있는 다양한 분석들이 나올 수 있으리라 기대된다.
제 2장에서는 연구의 대상인 대학캠퍼스의 성립과 그에 따른 대학캠퍼스와 사회의 관계를 고찰하였다. 본 논문은 역사적으로 대학이 지역사회와 이루었던 관계변화의 분석을 통하여 이상적인 대학과 지역사회의 관계를 산업혁명 이전 대학과 지역사회가 이루었던 상호보완관계로 규정하고 현재의 대학에서 이러한 관계로의 발전을 위해 필요한 노력의 일환으로 지역사회시설로서의 대학상을 제시하였다.
제 3장에서는 우리나라 대학의 현재 모습을 살펴보고 그러한 모습으로의 변화를 주변여건변화과정을 통하여 고찰하였다. 대학정책변화에 따른 캠퍼스의 지방이전 현상과 그에 따른 문제점으로 대학의 지방캠퍼스, 특히 서울과 인접하여 이용학생 대다수가 서울에 거주하는, 경기지역 대학캠퍼스가 각기 위치한 지역사회와 동떨어진 부지는 물론 지역사회와 아무런 관계를 설정하지 못하고 있음을 지적하였다. 아울러 2000년까지 완전 개방될 교육시장 개방분석은 위와 같은 문제점과 더불어 대학이 지역사회와 연계를 이루어야 하는 당위성을 제시하게 되었다.
제 4장에서는 제 3장에서 제시된 문제들을 토대로 경기지역에 위치한 대학 중 서울과 동시에 캠퍼스를 보유하고 있는 7개 사립대학을 항목별로 사례조사하였다. 이 같은 조사 결과 우리나라 대부분의 대학에서 앞서 제시되었던 지역사회시설로서의 대학상을 고려한 시설배치 및 마스터플랜이 마련되어 있지 못함을 알 수 있었다.
제 5장에서는 대학과 지역사회의 연계를 통한 대학문화단지 조성을 위하여 건축계획적, 도시계획적 측면의 방안을 고찰하였다. 대학과 지역사회간 연계가 가능한 시설물의 대학캠퍼스 내 배치와 지역사회와 동떨어진 곳에 위치한 대학캠퍼스주변의 개발방법을 도시계획법의 검토를 통하여 살펴 보았다.
제 6장에서는 앞에서 조사한 내용을 총체적으로 종합, 대학과 지역사회간의 연계 방안으로 유형적 연계와 무형적 연계방법을 제시하였다. 이외에 대학시설기준령과 연구과정에서 답사 조사하였던 28개 대학의 시설배치도면을 부록으로 첨부하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis is a study on the correlation of university campus, and community to have suggested the connecting method of university with the community as the solution to that issue through cause analysis and case survey via changing process of university and surroundings which our present university campus has held. This study has its significance in that it has grasped for the activation plan of university campus as well as the development of community by means of connection with community at the time when our universities have to go through many other condition changes for years to come.
Chapter 1 examined the purpose and significance, scope and method of study, study precedent. In reviewing the study precedent, a problem was found that there is a study as schematized plan to many changes of condition for universities to confront with because the subject of study among the elements of university campus plan is extremely focused on the university facilities and in the comprehensive aspect, not analyzing the subject in connection with the community in which universities are located, according to this it is expected that many applicable and realizable analyses to changes of conditions would come out.
Chapter 2 considered the establishment of university campus as the subject of study, the relation of university campus and society. Also this study defined the relation of ideal university and community as mutual supporting one of pre-industrial revolution university and community through analysis about change of relation historically formed between them, suggested an image of university with communal facility as a part of necessary efforts for the development to this relation.
Chapter 3 looked into the present look of the university in our country, considered the change to that condition by means of change process of surroundings. Also this chapter pointed out the problem according to the transfer phenomenon of campus due to the change of university policy that university campuses of Kyunggi-Province where are close to Seoul, whose most students reside in Seoul, have isolated locations from and no connections with community. In addition, the analysis for the openness of educational market to be completely opened by 2,000 brought on the necessity that the university be connected with the community, and the above problems,
Chapter 4 surveyed the cases of 7 private universities with campues in Seoul and Kyunggi province among the ones located in Kyunggi province based on the problems presented in Chapter 3. As a result of this survey, most universities in our country have not prepared the arrangement of facilities and master plan considering the university image as communal facility previously presented.
Chapter 5 considered the plan of architectural and municipal aspects to form the university cultural complex through the connection of university and community. This chapter looked into the method of arranging the community connectable facilities in university campus, developing the surrounding of university campus isolated from the community by means of reviewing the city planning law.
Chapter 6 comprehensively integrated the above examined contents, presented the tangible and intangible connection method as a plan of connecting university and community. Besides, the drawings for facility arrangement from 28 universities investigated during study process were added as an appendix.
