일본 방위산업 성장과 비군사화 규범들의 변화 - 무기수출금지 3원칙의 형성과 폐지 과정을 중심으로 - = The Evolution of Japan`s Defense Industry and the change of demilitarization norms : focusing on the formation and discard of three principles on the ban of arms export

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Japan has adopted a series of demilitarization norms under the peace-constitution such as ‘the concept of exclusive-defense’, ‘three-principles on non-nuclear’ three principles on the ban of arms export, etc. However, we are witnessing the gradual change or discard of these principles with the advent of normal state theory in Japan as well as the rising influence of Japan`s defense industry. This paper tries to explain how Japan`s defense industry has influenced the gradual change of demilitarization norms in the post-cold war period, focusing on the process of discarding the three principles on the ban of arms export. Japan`s defense industry including Mitsubishi Heavy Industry or Kawasaki Heavy Industry put forward their request to dismantle the principle through the Keidanren`s successive policy reports and Japan`s politicians responded to these request by replacing another new principle on the transfer of military facilities. With the abolition of three principles on the ban of arms export, Japan`s defense industry will exert more influence on the international arms transfer as well as East Asian security order.
