Based upon HCCP data collected by Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training, this study aims to analyze the effect of HRD on the wages of Korean corporate workers. Corporate HRD is an endeavor to promote the performance of a corporation. Wage is conceived as an indirect measure of organizational performance. Using HLM(Hierarchical Linear Regression), the effects of workers` human capital, organizational characteristics and corporate education/training upon wage are investigated. Findings are as follows; (1) positive effect of corporate-level education/training and negative effect of work-floor situational education/training on workers` wages respectively, (2) greater effect of workers` human capital upon their wages among prestigious corporations, (3) strong interaction effect between workers` organizational position and experiences of corporate education/training with respect to their wages. In sum, the influences of corporate-level education/training on workers` wages turn out to be more significant and consistent than those of work-floor education/training. In order to explain this “manifest effect of latent factor”, functional implications of the very concept of ``corporate education(and training)`` and socio-economic conditions of Korea during the year of 2005 were discussed.
