To find the effects of structural parameters on the mechanical properties and weight loss of PET woven fabrics, the interrelations between construction, weft count, cover factor and T.M are investigated and discussed from Anova results.
The mechanical property of textile material and clothing is a critical factor in the fabric performances.
This study is aimed at finding the effects on the mechanical properties, pre-set and alkali-treated fabrics such as 0%, 12%, 18%,25%,30fs with different construction, weft count, twist, and density.
The results obtained are following
1. The values of WT, RT, WC, MIU were increased, but the values · of B, 2HB, G, 2HG,RC, MMD, SMD were decreased by increasing the rate of weight loss.
2. Higher WT, 2HB, 2HG and lower RT were obtained when the weft denier was larger.
3. High RT and G values of plain and also B and 2HB values of satin were found in woven construction.
4. The higher cover factor, the larger WT,RT,2HG were resulted.
5. The values of WT, WC, MIU, MMD were higher but the values of RC, SMD were lower when T.M were increased.
