한국웨딩문화에 나타난 드레스 구성선에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Dress Composition Lines Represented in Korean Wedding Culture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is intended to classify the type of dress composition lines being used in the wedding dress, currently popular, and examine the tendency and characteristics and to propose a variety of utilization of wedding dress composition lines.
The results of analysis of a total of 712 wedding dress composition lines showed in wedding magazines are as follows:
1. With respect to necklines of wedding dresses, the number of bared top sleeves was 307(43.11%) showing the largest, followed by round necklines(143, 20.08%), off shoulder necklines (71, 9.97%), one-shoulder necklines(42, 5.90%), high neckline(40, 5.62%).
2. With respect to position of waist lines, the number of low-waist was the largest as 258(36.24%), followed by cut-free waist such as princess lines and natural waist. In addition, it turned out that the number of corset waists which are made in midriff region was 91(2.78%) and that of high-waist was 32(4.49%).
3. The type and length of sleeves, the number of set in sleeves which attached to the line with sleeve was the largest. Followed by dropped shoulder sleeves whose shoulder line fell down, cap sleeves, puff sleeves and raglan sleeves. With respect to the length of sleeves, the number of sleeveless was the largest as 153(54.45%), followed by short sleeves, long sleeves and three-quarter sleeves.
4. Examination of the width and length of skirts of wedding dresses shows that the number of the types with wide width such as a bell or crinoline shape was the largest(441), the middle width such as princess line 250 and the narrow width such as empire line or straight skirt 21. As to the length of skirts, the number of long skirts, typical wedding dresses, was the largest. Nest, the number was indicated in the order of maxi, midi and mini.
5. Finally, the silhouette of wedding dresses, the number of crinoline silhouette was the largest as 347(48.74%), followed by mermaid silhouette, bustle silhouette, and empire silhouette.
