The purpose of this study is written with accommodating the media language education in korean, and reveals evidence. Thus, I looked over specific training courses to current korean in the proposed curriculum and studied the effective way of measuring the media language education.
In Korea, crriculum and textbooks are provided more specific language learning media through 7th curriculum and revised 2007 curriculum over the course of training. 2007 curriculum was reflected in highlighted the importance of media language in education and have been created 'the media language' courses. But, as implemented 2009 curriculum media language education has been reduced. In the meantime, the importance of the media language education has been reflected in the textbooks because media language education was still conducted focus in common curriculum.
Depending on the flow of these training, I was to clarify the concept of media and media language at first. Concepts should be quite clean to accommodate the media and media language in korean education. so I was present that 'the media' refers to the means of communication and 'the media language' means communication that make up the language, images, sounds, letters, symbols, etc.
In addition, the implications of media language education suggests in korean curriculum. media language education in korean curriculum can effectively educate diverse values ​​and attitudes to take place in the lives of learners. Students can experience a variety of communication and develop the skills the actual use of language. That is, the purpose of the media language education is to train the people as the creative ones who can effectively accept and produce the media.
To overcome this problem and enforce its own education for media language, 2007 curriculum was run. This curriculum tried to actively carry out the media language education and started seeing the media regarded as an instrument in the 7th educational curriculum as the learning target.
In the 2007 revision in media language education, using the media language itself as the main medium and focus of study was significant progress compared to Korean media language education in the past.
In the aforementioned amended education curriculum, media language education was even more independently taken place in order for it's importance to be shown, however, that very independence still did not stand out in the lower sectors of the educational system. Also, textbook contents and in-class lectures were not carefully planned out and thus lacked an overall structure. As a result, media language education was carried out in fragments.
Therefore, I have reconsidered a way to overcome the problems stated above along with a way to teach media language more efficiently. First of all, I believe there is a need to increase and suggest the concept of media language itself, and to reconfigure the main content of media language. Also, in order to enhance the overall education of media language, there is a need to reconstruct the educational system and assignments, especially emphasizing the independence of media language in the educational system and in textbooks.
Through such reconsiderations, we can discover ways in which we can establish a more specific educational system along with enhancements in the textbook through theoretical reasoning and analysis of the current system, in a reality in which media language is in the process of becoming a part of the Korean language education system.
The Korean language subject must abandon the use of media as merely a means to approach Korean language education now. This study strives to be the basis for the establishment of better communication and the stimulus for production of better creations/productions through various media language research and systemization.
This thesis is written with establishing a concept of what the media language education is and studying how to carry a plan, hoping that the media language education will be developed more concretely and systematically for the future.
