      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objective: This study explored possible risk factors which influence the development of gastric cancer by comparing life habits of gastric cancer patients and healthy adults. Methods: The study was designed as a retrospective comparison survey study of gastric cancer patient group and healthy adult group. 103 gastric cancer patients in a university hospital and 141 healthy adults were recruited from January 2012 to August 2012. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, χ2-test/t-test and logistic regression with SPSS program. Results: Instant food product consumption, lower stress management, lower weekly exercise and higher frequency of drinking were shown to be risk factors in the development of gastric cancer. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study comparing gastric cancer patients and healthy adults, it is recommended to minimize instant food product consumption, effectively manage stress levels, enlarge the regular exercise and reduce the frequency of drinking.
