This is study on the Unjoru house in Omi-ri, Toji-mion, gurye-gun, Chollanam-do province, which is one of the representative high class("Yangban") residences of the Honam reigion built in the 1776 year.
In this study, and effort to find a clue to the establishment of the traditional architecture was made trough actural survey with historians, folklorists, reviewers of art. This house has kept the building and, the valuable Unjoru materials (old books, documents and folk artefacts) as well as for 200 years, A few of the materials including items of Unjoru establishment is used on this study.
It is analyzed throught generaliztion on the history of residing, the contents of residing of house and so forth.
In this results, it is investigated the background leading to the building and changes in the building, studied the space organization and function of the building in relation to family life.
