【연구논문】 6세기 초반 신라 금석문을 통해본 『梁書』 新羅傳의 관등 사료 비판 = Criticism on Official Ranks Material of the Silla Records in Ryangseo『梁書』 through Inscriptions of Silla in the early 6th Century

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to compare the records of Silla with the records of China about official ranks of the Silla. The records is two types. The one is the Silla inscriptions which are erected early in the 6th century, the other is the Silla records which the Chinese described. The Silla inscriptions are Joongseongribi, Nangsooribi, and Bongpyeongbi. And the history records which the Chinese describe is the Silla Records in The Ryangseo. Researcher criticized a Chinese record with Silla record, as follows.
Currently, official ranks of the Silla is recorded fourteen kinds in inscriptions. In opposition, the Silla Records of The Ryangseo only introduced five kinds. When Silla code was proclaimed in 520, there was the 17 - official rank system. In spite of it, Many official ranks were left out in the Silla Records of Ryangseo. On the contrary, all of 17 official ranks in Silla were introduced in the Silla Records of Suiseo『隋書』, which was published in the same period.
It is thought that this incorrect information collected by Ryang(梁), Namzo of China resulted from diplomatic activities in 521. Baekje’s envoy took Silla’s envoy to Ryang and interpreted between Ryang’s officials and Silla’s envoy in 521. Then, Baekje’ envoy didn’t deliver correct information about Silla, and Silla was introduced as an adjunct of Baekje in Ryangchikkongdo 『梁職貢圖』.
This wrong information was passed down until the early age of Tang. This was why Tang looked down on Silla. It was an error, but ironically incorrect information might have led to Silla’s victory in La-Tang war. Wrong information often brings about a lot of ironies.
