우크라이나 사태 전훈 분석: 합동성 강화를 위한 군사적 담론 = An Analysis of Crisis in Ukraine: A Military Discourse on Strengthening Military Jointness

February 24, 2023 will mark one year since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The crisis in Ukraine presents diverse implications in military aspects. Although Russia has overwhelming superiority in military strength as compared to Ukraine, Russia has been suffering fatal losses from the war, which even led to the weakening of its national power. Such fatal losses inflicted by Russia can be ascribed to the failure of military jointness. As a divided nation, we need to take lessons from the crisis in Ukraine, and develop military power and diverse strategies to adapt to future environmental changes by accelerating the Defense Innovation 4.0 initiative. At the military level, in order to proactively deal with North Korea's advancement in nuclear and missile programs, we need to come up with special measures, such as early acquisition of the Low Altitude Missile Defence system and the three-axis system.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

러시아가 우크라이나를 침공한 지 1년여가 되고 있다. 러시아의 침략전쟁으로 양측은 최소 7만여 명의 사상자가 발생했으며, 우크라이나의 난민은 1,400만 명에 이른다. 전쟁 여파로 우크라이나 영토의 30%가 파괴되었으며 재건에만 1,000조 이상의 천문학적 비용이 소요될 것으로 전망된다.
우크라이나 사태는 군사적 관점에서 우리에게 다양한 시사점을 제공한다. 러시아군은 우크라이나군에 비해 압도적 군사력을 보유하고도 합동성을 발휘하지 못하며 치명적인 손실을 입고 국력이 쇠퇴하고 있다. 본 연구는 우크라이나 사태에 대한 작전적 수준의 분석 및 평가를 통해 합동성 강화를 위한 군사적 담론을 제시하고자 한다.
