This study observes the parental childhood attachment and marital satisfaction as a developmental variables which affects the attachment security which is the important base of children's growth and development and placed it as the antecedent variables of the attachment security and outcome variables as the children's friendship and organized the path according to preceding investigation. Moreover, we predicted that in the course where parental childhood attachment and marital satisfaction affect the attachment security of children, parental rejectional attitude had a mediating effect and placed this added path model(parental childhood attachment, martial satisfaction ->rejectional attitude->child attachment security->child friendship) at as the experimental model to verify the suitability of the model. In addition, we tried to confirm the moderating effects of parent-child communication pattern in the course where attachment security of children affect the children's friendship. For the analysis, 408 pairs of information consisted of questionaires given to elementary students and parents living in Daejun, Chung-nam and Jun-nam was used to prove the mediation and moderating effects according to structural equation modelling. As a result, firstly, the path that goes from parental childhood attachment to marital satisfaction, parental rejection attitude, attachment security of their children to children's friendship coincided well with the experimental model. It shows us that parental childhood attachment and marital satisfaction does not directly affect the child attachment security, but parental raising attitude intermediates and affects child friend relationship which is the outcome variables. Secondly, in this experimental model, parent-child communication pattern had a moderating effects on the path where attachment security of child affects child friendship. That is to say, the path coefficeient is meaningful in the over average group of parent-child communication pattern level, but it was not meaningful in the below average group. Following results imply that parents marital satisfaction and intergenerational transmission plays an important role in formation of the stable attachment formation and in order to isolate the negative attachment between the generations, counselling intervention is needed which reduces the parental rejectional attitude and increase the functional raising attitude. Furthermore in the course where child attachment security affects child friendship, it proved that parent-child positive communication level works as a protecting factors in parent-child relationship.
