Introduction
The basic purpose of this study was to measure the technical aspects of soccer players participated in the 6th President's Cup Football Tournament held in Seoul from 11th to 21st of September, 1976. The participating teams of the tournament were 10(Korea A-Wharang, Korea B-Chungmu, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, India, New Zealand, Burma, Thailand and Indonesia)
Classification if measurement
For the convenience of the maesurement, the researcher of this study classify the measurement into the following categories:
1. the number of attacking chance
2. the number of the factors in attacking chance
3. the number of shooting
4. the number of scoring factors
Summary
The results of this study pointed out the following facts:
1. An average Attacking number, in the 90-minutes duration of game, recorded 150.5 (74.5 in the first half of game and 76.1 in the second half) in preliminary group matches, and 152.2 (79.4 in the first half of game and 72.9 in the second half) in semifinal and final competition.
2. In preliminary matches, average number of Shooting for each team was 13.9 in one game and each team scored on an average 1.6. In semi-final and final game, average number of shooting for each team was 11.1 and an average number of scoring was 0.7.
3. In preliminary matches, average number of intercept for each team, among nine factors of attacking chance, recorded. 28.6 percent and that of pass miss was 27.8 percent in one game. And other factors for each team were about 43.3 percent of total nmber. In the course of semi-final and final game, Intercept for eachteach was about 28.9 percent and 29.2 percent in Pass miss. And total number of other factors was 42.2 percent for each team in one game.
4. An average number of Short Pass in the cases of Free Kick, Corner Kick, Goal Kick and Goalkeeper's Catching was better than that of Long Pass. In preliminary matches, an average number of Short Pass was in one game about 23.4 and in the number of Long Pass, 16.8 among total number of 40.2.
In semi-final and and final competition, the total number of those chances was on the average 40.1 Among them Short Pass for each them was on an average 21.8 and average number of Long Pass was 18.3 in one game.
5. In an average Shooting number for each team of preliminary matches, Korea (Wharang) showed the best number, 25 in one game and in semi-final and final game, Korea (Chungmu) was 13 being the tor number.
In Scoring number for each team of preliminary matches, Korea(Wharng) scoredon the average 4, the best number in one game, and Brazil was 1.5 which was the best score in semi-final and final game.
6. An average frequency of individual factor on scorng showed that Passing factor was on the average 81.2 percent in preliminary matches, and about 5.6 percent from Free Kick and 5.6 percent from Error and 3.7 percent from Corner Kick in total scoring chance.
In semi-final and final game, average frequency of the factors recorded 71.4 percent from Pass work and 28.5 percent from Free Kick chance in total.
