Employment increased by 181,000 in H1 of 2025. The pace of employment growth, which had slowed to around 52,000 in Q4 of 2024, accelerated to 207,000
in Q2 of this year. As the employment rate continued to rise, it surpassed 70% for those aged 15 to 64 in May. At the same time, the unemployment rate and the economically inactive population did not increase. This represents a significant departure from the quantitative sluggishness in employment seen in H2 of last year.
