Torque converter located in automatic transmission is a important part that determines fuel economy and power transmission of vehicle. Although it has advantages, because of power transmitted by fluid, the engine power loss never avoid. In order to improve fuel economy, Lock-up clutch that directly transmits the engine power to the automatic transmission is equipped in torque converter. This paper discussed facing-pressure distribution of torque converter considering thermal deformation. To analysis facing pressure distribution, this suggests optimization angle of piston. And this is provided torque converter engineer with useful information for lock-up clutch design.
