A. altissima 葉의 free amino acid 및 free organic acid의 含量을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다.<br/>
1. free amino acid는 lysine, histidine, arginine, tryptophan, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, threonine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine 등 17種이 定量되었으며 이들 중 glutamic acid가 가장 많아 全아미노산량의 48.3%를 차지하였다.<br/>
2. free organic acid는 formic acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, maleic acid, succinic acid, fumaric acid, citric acid, tartaric acid 등 8種이 정량되었고 sorbic는 微量이었으며, 이들 중 fumaric acid가 가장 많았다.

Contents of free amino acids and organic acids in the leaves of Ailanthus altissima were surveyed through the course of this study. The results were as follows;<br/>
1. Lysine, histidine, arginine, tryptophan, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, threonine, serine, proline, glycine, alanine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, tyrosine and phenylalanine were presented in the leaves of A. altissima, and glutamic acid showed the highest amount and was more than about 48% of total free amino acids.<br/>
2. Fumaric acid was the major organic acid in the leaves of A. altissima, and also formic acid, acetic acid, maleic acid, succinic acid, oxalic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and sorbic acid were determined, and two unknown were found.
