「Causative」 in modern Japanese has been dealt with as the Voice, and it generally represents ordering someone to act something, forcing, noninterference, permission, operation, discourtesy. The typical characteristics of the causative lies on the speaker force his hearer or someone to do something. And it is noticeable that the causative verbs appear to express 「agreement · understanding」, or 「asking permission from the hearer」. In this study I have made a review of previous studies on this subject, and then have described the meaning of「V+saseteitadaku」. The speaker chooses 「V+saseteitadaku」 in asking someone to fulfill one`s intention, to express his thanks, to announce something to his hearer, to refuse the request given, and finally to express politeness in business.
