한국에 있어서 카프시의 문학적 功과 過― 한 망명 문학가의 숙명, 조명희의 경우 = The Literary Achievements of KAPF Poetry in Korea ― The Fate of an Exiled Literary Artist, In the case of Cho, Myounghee

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국 근대시사에서 카프는 미해결의 화두다. 당대 프롤레타리아 문학은 국제적 현상이었다. 한국에서의 특성을 규명하는 것은 카프시의 본질을 이해하는 하나의 중요한 방법일 수 있다. 일반적으로 지칭되는 정치적 목적 성을 내세운 시, 서정성이 결핍된 시라는 단순 논리로는 카프시의 의미가 해석되기 어렵다. 저층에 깔린 당대 상황에 대한 문학적 대응의 모색과 방법의 측면을 카프 문학에서는 간과할 수 없기 때문이다.
망명 시인 조명희는 한국에 있어서 카프시의 사적 의미를 어떻게 볼 것인가에 대한 단서를 보여준다. 조명희는 봉건과 일제 강점의 현실과 첨예 하게 대결한 시인이다. 그의 시는 도전과 투쟁의 모습으로 전대 문학의 대척점에 서 있다 조명희의 날카로운 인식의 전위성은 탈식민성과 민족주의로 수렴된다.
봉건에 훼손되지 않은 새로운 언어로 새로운 시를 쓰고자 한 고뇌는 조명 희가 보여준 功이다. 그 언어적 탈출로써 소박한 재현에 갇혀있던 동양적 전통의 시로부터 벗어나고자 하였다. 현재의 모순에 대한 철저한 드러냄이 없는, 힘없는 서정을 극복하고, 현실을 타개해 나감으로써 유토피아를 만드는, 힘의 문학을 지향하였다.
하지만 그가 시를 궁극으로 밀어붙일수록 시는 형해화 되고 사라지는 비극과 만난다. 전위성이 지적 확대로 이어지지 못하면서 내파될 수밖에 없었다. 이러한 過의 양상에 일제의 억압이 작동되었던 것 또한 사실이다.
망명 시인 조명희에 의해 카프시는 외부 공간으로 연장되어 존재할 수있었다. 그의 시는 연해주에서 러시아를 배경으로 성장한다. 민족의 생존이 라는 그의 시적 지향점은 고려인 문학을 가능하게 했으며 오늘날 현존하는 문학 현상으로 남아 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Cho, Myunghee is an important person in history of Korean modern literature. He played an important role in KAPF(Korea Artistra Proleta Federacio), and when KAPF was forcibly dissolved by the Japanese, he fled to Russia and continued his literary activities. In history of Korean modern literature KAPF is an open topic. It is difficult to interpret its meaning with the simple logic of a poem that puts forward political purpose and a poem that lacks lyricism. Cho, Myunghee, an exiled poet, shows clues about how to view the private meaning of KAPF poetry.
Cho, Myounghee is a poet who sharply confronted the reality of the time due to the issue of ‘conscience and rice’. His poems are standing at the opposite point of the previous literature in the form of challenges and struggles. However, the rapid pace of his poems leads to a sharp fall.
Cho, Myunghee’s sharp perception of reality converges into post－ colonialism and nationalism. Cho’s anguish to write a new poem in a new language that was not damaged by feudalism is an achievement of his poems. Through that verbal escape, he tried to escape from the oriental tradition of poetry that was trapped in simple representation. It aimed for the literature of power to create a utopia by overcoming weak lyricism and passing away reality, which does not reveal the current contradictions.
However, the more he ultimately pushes the poem, the more it becomes concrete and meets the tragedy of disappearing. It is also a fact that cannot be overlooked that the oppression and intervention of Japanese imperialism must work importantly in this aspect.
By exiled poet Cho, Myounghee, KAPF poetry was able to extend to outer space and exist. His poems grow in Primorsky Krai against the backdrop of Russia. After that, the basis of Goryeo literature and being able to exist in the present means that Cho, Myong-hee’s poems are open to the future. And that openness is still valid.
