국가보훈정책 지지와 참여의 결정요인 분석 : 국가정체성과 정부신뢰를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대 민주주의 국가의 사상적 기반은 공동체를 이루고 있는 구성원들의 사회계약에 기반한다고할 수 있다. 국가공동체가 구성원들의 사회계약에 기반하고 있다면 구성원들이 국가에 대하여 가지게 되는 자긍심과 신뢰, 공동체적 가치관을 유지하고 발전하는 것이 중요하게 된다. 국가보훈제도는 국가공동체와 그 구성원인 국민 상호 간의 신뢰를 견고하게 유지하는 핵심적인 제도라고 할 수 있다. 또한 국가보훈정책은 국민통합의 원동력이자 국가통합의 상징 기제라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국가보훈부 출범과 함께 점차 중요해지는 국가보훈정책에 대한 지지와 참여 요인을국가정체성과 정부 신뢰의 관점에서 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히 국가보훈정책에 있어 국가정체성 인식이 어떠한 영향을 주는지 살펴보고, 정부 신뢰가 국가정체성 인식과 국가보훈정책 지지와 참여의 관계에서 어떠한 영향을 주는지 실증적으로 분석해 보고자 하였다. 그 결과 국가정체성 인식이 높을수록 국가보훈정책 지지와 참여가 높아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 국가정체성 인식과 국가보훈정책 지지와 참여와의 관계에서 정부 신뢰는 이들 관계를 유의미하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The ideological foundation of a modern democratic state can be said to be based on the social contract of the members who form the community. If the national community is based on the social contract of its members, it becomes important to maintain and develop the pride, trust, and communal values that members hold toward the state. The national veterans system can be said to be a core system that firmly maintains trust between the national community and its members, the citizens. In addition, the national veterans policy serves as both a driving force and a symbolic mechanism for national integration.
This study aimed to examine the factors of support and participation in the increasingly important national veterans policy from the perspective of national identity and government trust. In particular, it examined the influence of national identity awareness on national veterans policy and empirically examined how government trust influences the relationship between national identity awareness and support and participation in national veterans policy.
As a result, it was confirmed that the higher the national identity awareness, the higher the support and participation in national veterans policy. In addition, government trust was found to significantly mediate the relationship between national identity awareness and support and participation in national veterans policy.
