This study hopes to understand and see if there is a relationship between child`s achievement motivation and father`s involvement when raising a child. And also, to find out if there is any difference due to the mother`s employment and child`s sex{as to) father`s involvement and children`s achievement motivation. The subjects of this study were 248 of 5, 6 and 7 years old and 248 fathers totaling 496 in K and 1 kindergartens in Tae-Gu, and S kindergarten in Kyong Buk. For 2 weeks, achievement motivation test were conducted to 5, 6 and 7 years old children and questionnaires were given out to 248 father to examine their involvement in raising their children. Then, a correlation analysis was conducted Lo verify the divergence between father`s involvement in raising childen and children`s achievement motivation. A multiple regression analysis were conducted as well, to find infrastructure area of which, best effect the child`s achievement motivation. To summariza the conclusion of this study is as follows First of all, there was a statical correlation between father`s involvement and children`s achievement motivation. That is, father`s deep involvement in rasing children leads to high achievement motivation of the children. Secondly, there were no significant difference in father`s involvement or children`s achievement motivation as to the child`s sex. Third, a big difference appeared in father`s involvement and child`s achievement motivation as to the mother`s employment. Namely, father`s involvement grows in working mothers, and thus the achievement motivation of the children rises as well. Forth, the correlation between father`s involvement and child`s achievement motivation seem a bit more static in girls as to boys, working mother as to a homemaker. Finally, of all infrastructure areas of father`s involvement, leasure activity appeares to have most effect in children`s achievement motivation. This means that fathers participating in outings, maintain climbing, eat outs, visiting zoo or botanical gardens, playgrounds, and movie theaters with their children best effect the children`s achievement motivations.
