The purpose of this study is to examine a recent case of environmentally friendly hospital construction by using LEED accreditation in Korea. LEED accreditation criteria is modified to questionnaire for indepth interview with facilities managers of three hospitals. The study result implies that hospitals are not ready to LEED accreditation completely but they have high probability in all criteria. Incentives that hospitals want to for environmentally friendly hospital construction is as in the following: 1) tax relief on environmental improvement contribution, 2) downward
readjustment of energy unit price, 3) relaxation of construction permission & restrictions on the floor area ratio, 4) provide more ESCO project support, 5) using logo and promoting. Hospitals have to keep in pace with the change in government policy like as GHG & Energy Target Management System, Korean Green Management Certification Scheme, and so on for achieving the successful environmentally-friendly hospitals.
