외국인 유학생의 대학 학업적응 예측 및 진단을 위한 평가 도구 개발 예비 연구 = A preliminary study for the development of evaluation tool for predicting and diagnosing foreign students' academic adaptation to University

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 외국인 유학생의 학업적응에 대한 표준화된 검사 도구 개발을 목적하며, 이를 위해 구인 설정과 문항 개발, 각 하위요인의 내적 합치도에 근거한 신뢰도와 요인분석을 통한 검사 도구의 타당성 검증을 하고자 한다. 2000년대 이후 외국인 유학생이 급격히 증가하면서 유학생들을 대상으로 한 대학생활 적응과 관련한 연구가 이루어져 왔으나, 표준화된 진단 도구의 개발에 대한 연구는 미비하다. 본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 예비 설문을 실시하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 외국인 유학생의 대학 학업적응척도의 요인구조를 탐색하기 위해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였으며 추출된 요인과 요인부하량을 고려하여 여섯 개의 하위요인과 총 84개 문항 중 47개 문항을 도출하였다. 하위요인의 내적합치도를 살펴보았을 때 하위요인 중 일탈가능성 요인을 제외한 모든 요인이 일관성있는 문항으로 구성된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 하위요인으로 구성된 모델의 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 살펴본 결과, 모형 적합도가 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 하위요인 중 학업적응, 개인정서, 사회적응의 하위요인이 유사개념 척도들과 잘 수렴하는지 확인하기 위해 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 측정된 하위변인들과의 상관이 잘 나타나 유사개념인 척도들과도 잘 수렴하는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study was to develop a standardized tool to evaluate and predict foreign students' ability of adaptation to college life, and for this aim construct of foreign students' ability of adaptation to college was set, items of the construct were developed and factor analysis was conducted to test the reliability and validity of this tool. Since the 2000s, as the number of foreign students has increased rapidly, studies on adaptation to college life have been conducted for foreign students, but studies for the development of standardized diagnostic tools are insufficient. In this study, a preliminary survey was conducted on foreign students, and the results are as follows. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to explore the factor structure of the university academic adaptation scale of foreign students, and 47 out of 84 items were derived in consideration of the 6 extracted factors, adaptation to studying abroad, academic efficiency, personal affect, social adaptation, communication, and economic activity motivation and factor loading. Internal consistency of subfactors were found that all subfactors except the economic activity motivation consisted of consistent items. In addition, as a result of confirmatory factor analysis of the model composed of subfactors, it was found that the model fit was good. Finally, as a result of correlation analysis to check the convergence validity of the adaptation to studying abroad, personal affect, and social adaptation subfactors, those were converged well with similar concept scales.
