This study aims at examining causality, mediation, mean difference about relationships among socioeconomic status, subjective class identification, political behavior, government evaluation, trust in state institutions. A set of hypotheses were set forth and subjected to an empirical assesment by using KGSS(Korean General Social Survey) 2003 Module and 2008 Module.
Research results are as follows. First, A differences of mean for the government evaluation and trust in state institutions were assessed and the results. (1) government evaluation and trust in presidential office has been proved to value and trust highly to Roh Moo-hyun Government than to Lee Myung-bak’ Government. (2) trust in central government, local government, the judiciary, the legislature has been proved to value and trust highly to Lee Myung-bak’ Government than to the Participatory Government.
Second, Progressive people are likely to high evaluate Roh Moo-hyun Government. Third, Old People, While, Supporter of grand party are likely to high evaluate Lee Myung-bak’ Government.
Fourth, Supporter of Roh Moo-hyun Government are likely to high trust in state institutions of Roh Moo-hyun Government. While, Supporter of grand party, Participant of president vote, Supporter of state affairs are likely to high trust in state institutions of Lee Myung-bak’ Government.
Lastly, Government evaluation’ indirect effect via high schooling years, male, married person are negative to Roh Moo-hyun government. while grand party, income, old man are trust in state institutions through Lee myung-bak Government’s rule. but Government evaluation’ indirect effect via people of high education standard and married person are negative to Lee Myung-bak’ Government.
