김수영 초기시의 난해성과 ‘불가능성의 가능성’으로서의 시적 전략 : 『토끼』『공자의 생활난』에 대한 주석 = The difficulty to understanding Kim, soo-young’s early poems and poetic strategy as the possibility of impossibility

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 김수영의 초기시로서 대표적인 난해시로 분류되어 왔던 『공자의 생활난』 『토끼』를 ‘불가능성의 가능성’이라는 세계인식과 시작 원리 속에서 해명한 논문이다. 이 두 텍스트에서 김수영은 직관과 압축적인 언어 형식을 통해 특정한 사태의 정황을 전제하고, 거기에서 주체의 실천 윤리를 실험한다. 이 두 텍스트에서 공히 주체를 둘러싼 정황은 척박하고 위태로우며 절박하다. 하지만 시적 주체나 화자는 그 정황에서 세태적 삶의 감각이나 실천 방식과는 다른 실천 양식을 제시한다. 이 실천 양상은 난처한 생의 곤경을 회피하지 않고 돌파하는 자의 실천 양식과 관련된다는 점에서 주체의 윤리라고 할 만한 지점을 담보하고 있다. 주목할 점은 난처한 삶의 정황을 마주한 자로서 시적 주체가 지닌 이러한 실천의 절박성이, 불가능해 보이는 것을 가능한 것으로 전화시키는 존재 전이의 가능성을 그 자체로 내포하고 있다는 ‘변증법적’ 세계인식과 시적 예감을 보여준다는 사실이다. 이 두 텍스트에서 불가능해 보이는 것(불가능성)으로 생각되었던 것은 오히려 가능성의 전제이자 필요조건이다. 김수영 시에 대한 큰 연구사적 관심 속에서도 그동안 이러한 지점은 거의 지적되어 오지않았지만, 이 논문은 이러한 세계인식과 시작법이 김수영 시의 중요한 특질을 이루며, 이것이 또한 한국시에 있어 김수영이 차지하고 있는 고유한 위상과 특기할 만한 시적 의의 중 하나라고 판단한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Kim soo-young’s early poems are sniped by critics. They have been rebuked for unintelligible textes. Many critics criticize these severly from an esthetic failure. They regard unintelligible textes as a bad textes. Really? I don't agree on this critical view. I think that the difficulty to making out Kim's poems peoceeds from unusual world view.
This study focuses on the difficulty to understanding Kim soo-young’s poems;「The Rabbi」(「토끼」) and 「Kongzu’s living difficulties」(「공자의 생활난」). Above all, this study pays attention to Kim soo-young’s poetic strategy as the possibility of impossibility in two textes. these textes are related to poetic outlook on the world and poetic method.
The situation of the poetic subject is in grave peril in these textes. But the poetic subject shows us a different practice, behavior and view of the world. Ultimately, his action and world view are connected with a practical ethics. That’s the possibility of impossibility. The poetic subject in grave peril realizes that a dangerous situation is a complete reversal of the Being. He regards the impossibility as the possibility. The dramatic reversal of the Being begins from the difficult situation. The impossibility is precondition and necessary condition for the possibility. In this respect this world view is, literally, dialectic. I think that his textes are regarded to hard reading for this unusual dialectic world view. Especially this view has connotations of paradox and irony of the Being.
This dialectic world view seems like the poetic core and method of Kim soo-young’s poems. This poetic view spans from Kim’s early poems through late poems. In this respect 「The Rabbi」(「토끼」) and 「Kongzu’s living difficulties」(「공자의 생활난」) is a important textes in Kim’s poem.
