호주의 언어 교육으로서 미디어 교육과 재외동포 대상 한국어 교육의 현황과 과제 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 호주의 자국어 교육과정에 대한 고찰을 통해 매체 언어 교육의 목표와 내용, 그 실현 양상을 살펴보는 데 있다.
호주의 자국어 교육과정은 학습 영역으로서 영어 교육의 성격, 텍스트와 언어 교육 영역, 성취 수준에 대해 진술하고 있다. 호주 교육과정에서 영어는 학생들이 언어를 사용하여 의사소통을 하며, 문학을 향유할 수 있는 능력을 신장시키는 학습 영역으로 규정하고 있다. 텍스트의 범주는 문학, 실용문, 매체로 구분하고, 각 텍스트에 대해 맥락 이해, 언어 구조와 특징, 전략으로 세분화하여 언어 교육 영역 및 성취 수준을 제시하였다.
매체 텍스트는 맥락 이해, 언어 구조와 특징, 전략의 범주로 나뉘어 학습 목표와 내용이 각각 제시되어 있다. 매체 언어 교육을 위한 학습 영역 구분도 주(state)별로 다른 양상을 띠는데, 주로 이해 과정으로서 ‘보기’와 표현 과정으로서의 ‘쓰기’ 영역 설정이 일반적이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is the goals, contents and aspect of media education in Australian English Curriculum.
It is mentioned about English as an area of learning, texts & languages strand, bands in A Statement on English for Australian schools. English is that area of the curriculum where students study and use English language and literature. Texts strand includes literature, mass media are everydays texts and language strand involves contextual understanding, linguistic structures and features and strategies. The Bands are divided from A to D.
The areas for media education are different from each state, but generally 'viewing' area is set up for understanding of media massages and 'writing' area is fixed for production of media texts.
