현실요법 집단미술치료가 가정 폭력 피해여성의 자아존중감과 사회성 향상에 미치는 효과

However, expert programs that can intervene in realities and should further assist female victims of family violence to support themselves have not yet been developed systematically; nor any studies about the effectiveness of such programs.
This study, thus, purports to verify if and how a reality therapeutic group art therapy is
effective in helping female victims of domestic violence regain and enhance their self esteem
and social confidence, so that they can stand on their own.
Study subjects are seven female victims residing in the Women's Hotline shelter. They were given the mixture program of reality therapy and group art therapy during the 8 week period (Feb-3-2005 through March-30-2005), having total 18 sessions with 2-3 sessions a week, each lasting 120 minutes.
SPSS 11.5 program is used to analyze the collected data. Dependent variables are
self-esteem and social skills, the degree of which were measured by pre-test and post-test,
then the difference in measurement is verified by non-parametric Wilcox Rank Sum test.
Graphs are shown to compare Average and Standard Deviation from pre-test and post-test,
in order to comprehend individual changes of the study subjects.
The conclusion obtained from the study results are as follows.
First, a reality therapeutic group art therapy is effective to enhance the sense of self esteem and social skills of the female victims from family violence.
Second, a reality therapeutic group art therapy has efficacy to improve the social skills or
human relationship of the female victims of family violence.
