아일랜드 전환학년제 적용 방안 연구 = A Study on the Application of the Irish Transition Year Programme in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate Irish Transition Year and develop Korean version of Transition Year with administrative system. To accomplish this study, literature research, interview, and advisory committee were introduced. Based on the study, major conclusions of this study were as below: First, Korean version of Transition Year can be introduced to second grade of middle school and first grade of high school students and be operated as a one-year cyler of one-semester cycle. Second, the six fundamental directions can be suggested: domestications and diversity of school curriculum, students’s career oriented curriculum, operating curriculum based on student’s needs, operating career education oriented curriculum, making career education level, operating various learning techniques, operating integrated curriculum, operating work experienced oriented curriculum.
Third, the Korean version of Transition Year for middle school can be operated for helping students to explore and ready for their career based on the activities which focused on the alignment of school curriculum and career education. Fourth, the Korean version of Transition Year for high school can be operated for helping students to reflect and explore their life and career based on various and wide learning experience. Fifth, administrative systems for Korean version of Transition Year can be operated based on credit system, non-graded system, block time system, career education oriented curriculum, cooperative articulation for career education, participation and communication of teachers, students, parents, and companies for career education, foundation of legislative system.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 아일랜드 전환학년제(transition year)의 체제와 특징을 분석하여 한국형 진로탐색학년제 모형을 개발하고, 이를 운영하는데 필요한 지원 체제를 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통해 아일랜드 전환학년 체제와 특징, 사례를 분석하였고, 아일랜드 방문 인터뷰를 동시에 실시하였으며 전문가 협의회를 통해 한국형 진로탐색학년제 운영 모형과 지원 체제를 개발하였다. 한국형 진로탐색학년제는 중학교 2학년과 고등학교 1학년에 적용할 것이고, 1년 또는 1학기제로 운영할 수 있다. 단위학교 교육과정의 자율화와 다양화 강조, 학생의 진로중심 교육과정 실현, 학생 진로요구에 적합한 진로특성화 교육과정 운영, 기본․교양․진로특성화 과목의 교육과정운영, 진로개발 수준별 수업 및 보충심화과정 운영, 다양한 교수-학습방법과 새로운 무시험 평가체제 구축, 교과통합진로교육운영, 방과 후 및 방학 중 직장(일터) 체험 강조 등의 6가지 기본 방향을 설정하였다. 중학교 진로탐색학년제는 학교 교육과정과 진로교육을 연계한 체험 중심의 활동을 통하여 중학교 이후 진로에 대한 탐색과 준비를 체계적으로 할 수 있도록 도와주는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 고등학교 진로탐색학년제는 학생들에게 자신의 삶과 진로를 더욱 의미 있게 탐색할 수 있도록 학교 교육과정안에서 다양하고 포괄적인 학습 경험을 제공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 한국형 진로탐색학년제 운영 지원 체제로 학점제 및 무학년제, 블록타임제 등의 새로운 전환 시도, 학생의 ‘진로’ 중심 학교 운영 체제, 학생의 진로 중심의 상호협력적인 거버넌스 관점에서의 교사․학생․학부모․산업체의 참여와 소통 확대, 법적 근거에 기초한 한국형 진로탐색 학년제 운영을 전제로 하였다.
