The chlorophyll-a and chlorophyll-b have been separated from the spinach leaves through the sugar-packed column by using of the mixed solvents of petroleum ether, dioxane and n-propyl alcohol.
The energy quenching constants of chlorophyll-a and chlorophyll-b by carbontetrabromide as a quencher were measured in the solvent of diethl ether by spectrofluorometry, and its constants of chlorophyll-a and chlorophyll-b were 3.2 and 0.75 respecturely.
