      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Wonhyo, a great Buddhist philosopher of the 7th century who perfected Korea’s theory Buddhism and at the same time opened the door to Zen Buddhism, wrote over 100 works, including 『Daeseung-gisinnonso (大乘起信論疏)』 and 『Geumgangsammaegyeonglon(金剛三昧經論)』. He wrote over 240 books. However, among Wonhyo’s vast writings, 『Panbilyanglon(判比量論)』 is the only work by Wonhyo that deals with logics, also called Buddhist cognitive logic. However, this text does not remain intact today. The purpose of this paper is to examine the central content and main features of 『Panbilyanglon(判比量論)』 based on the existing, albeit incomplete, contents. Wonhyo’s logic text, 『Panbilyanglon (判比量論)』, originates from Dignāga(陳那, 480-540), the founder of Indian Buddhist cognitive logic. Dignāga directly inherited the Yusik(唯識) of Vasubandu (世親, 400-480), who indirectly and critically inherited the Jungkwan(中觀) of Nagarjuna(龍樹, 150-250). As is well known, Yusik(唯識) is a system of thought that states that ‘everything is a manifestation of consciousness.’ Dignāga systematizes human cognitive experience philosophically and logically based on this intellectual system of thought.
The academic field that systematizes human cognitive experience philosophically and logically is cognitive logic. If we take a look at the entire discussion of Wonhyo’s 『Panbilyanglon(判比量論)』 based on Dignāga’s logics, any claim or theory can be refuted, and even the refutation can be re-refuted. In such a process, in order to humbly acknowledge that one’s own claims or theories can only have partial validity, and at the same time to accept that other people’s claims or theories can also have validity, while ultimately doing so, whether as an introductory or an advocate, The goal is to make everyone realize that no matter what kind of cautionary claim they make, the claim is partially valid, that is, it makes sense, because it is based on the single mind(一心) of 『Daeseung-gisinnonso(大乘起信論疏)』, and through such awareness, the purpose is to help each other understand and communicate with each other. it is considered to be the ultimate writing purpose of 『Panbilyanglon(判比量論)』. Wonhyo’s critical awareness will be an important motif in healing the conflict and discord caused by the debate in our society today, which is divided into East and West and North and South
