In this paper, it was studied remote controllability of unmanned vehicle based on vision. When unmanned vehicle driving on the rough terrain, it was difficult to remote-control because of image shaking. In order to investigate the difficult of remote control, test environment was developed and image shaking was quantified. The test environment was developed using 6 axis motion simulator, vision stabilizer and virtual reality. The image shaking metric was proposed using image processing. Virtual driving tests have been carried out with various vehicle speed and road roughness, with and without the stabilizer. The metrics and subjective index of operators have been investigated through the results of tests. When using the stabilizer, the metric is lower than without stabilizer, and also subjective index represent comfortable control.
