교육정치학과 정치학: 정체성 형성을 위한 학문간 대화와 융합의 모색 = The Politics of Education and the Political Science: Exploring Dialogue and Fusion between the Disciplines

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is intended to explore the relationship between the politics ofeducation and the political science, to diagnose the issues hamperingdisciplinary identity of the politics of education, and to examine tasks for itsdevelopment. Both the politics of education and the political science havebeen influenced by academic stream and theoretical universality of Westernpolitics so that they cannot establish their own identity based on Koreanreality. Accordingly, both need to share issues and tasks on disciplinaryidentity, and to form mutual collaboration in order to establish it throughdialogue and fusion between the disciplines. In detail, the issues to do it areas the followings: (1) the politics of education as a rainbow science, (2) thepolitics of education focused on control and instrumentality, (3) the politicsof education as an area study of American politics of education, and (4) thepolitics of education as adaptologies and imitatologies. Finally, the tasks tosolve the issues are suggested as the follows: (1) to overcome rotatedrelations between theoretical dependence on methodology and methodologicaldependence on theory, (2) to avoid rule-making and rule-adapting researchof educational politics, (3) to explore the establishment of educationalpolitics curriculum and its standardization, and (4) to publish an introductorytextbook on Korean politics of education[

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교육정치학이 정치학과 어떤 관계를 가질 것인가에 대한 문제와 한국 교육정치학이 학문적 종속성을 벗어나 자기 준거적 시각에서 정체성의 확립을 방해하는쟁점들을 진단하고, 발전을 위한 과제를 검토해보고자 하였다. 한국의 교육정치학은 정치학과 마찬가지로 서구 정치학의 학문적 조류와 이론의 보편성에 영향을 받아왔으며한국 현실과의 관계 속에서 정체성을 형성하지 못해 왔다. 따라서 한국 교육정치학은정치학과 함께 학문적 정체성의 고민과 쟁점을 공유하며, 학문간 대화와 융합을 통해정체성을 확립하기 위한 공동의 전선을 형성할 필요가 있다. 구체적으로, 한국의 교육정치학이 학문적 정체성 확립 측면에 안고 있는 쟁점은 ① 무지개 과학으로서 교육정치학의 성격, ② 통제와 도구성 중심에 초점을 둔 교육정치학의 문제, ③ 미국 교육정치학의 지역학으로서 교육정치학의 위상, ④ 수용학 또는 모방학으로서의 교육정치학등이다. 이러한 쟁점을 해소하여 학문적 정체성을 확립하기 위한 발전 과제로는 ① 방법론의 이론 종속성과 이론의 방법론 종속성이라는 순환관계의 극복, ② 법칙정립적이며 법칙적용적인 교육정치학 연구의 탈피, ③ 대학에서 교육정치학 교과과정 설치 및표준화 모색, ④ 한국 교육정치학 입문서 출간 등이 제시되었다.
