      The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of achievement goal orientation on intrinsic motivation, classroom attitude, and satisfaction in middle physical education class. Participants consisted of 696 middle school students who attended in 26 middle schools located in S district of S city. Instruments were composed of goal orientation survey(23 items), inner motivation survey(12 items), and classroom attitude and satisfaction survey(23 items). The data was analyzed by using SPSS 14.0 for reliability analysis, and correlation analysis and by using AMOS 7.0 for confirmatory factor analysis and structure equation model analysis. Results indicated that task orientation had a positive influence on inner motivation, classroom attitude, and satisfaction and ego orientation had a negative impact on inner motivation, classroom attitude, and satisfaction. Thus, this study implies that physical education teachers have to instruct task-oriented classroom climate that students are interested in mastering task.
