개인, 인지, 정서 요인이 청소년의 흡연량에 미치는 영향 = Individual, cognitive, affective factors influencing amount of cigarette consumption among adolescents

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine factors that influence the level of cigarette consumption among smoking adolescents. The effects of individual factors, cognitive factors and affective factors were analyzed through hierarchical regression analysis, based on data collected from 104 middle school students in Seoul. These students are from three middle schools located in economically disadvantaged areas of Seoul, receiving special financial support from the city government. According to the research results, the level of cigarette consumption increased as the age at smoking initiation, an individual factor, decreased. In addition, higher levels of smoking-efficacy, self-control and cognitive factors increased the amount of cigarette consumption among smoking adolescents. These findings highlight the need for more aggressive prevention and early intervention programs for smoking teenagers, with a cautious approach that focuses on self-efficacy and self-control.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 개인적 요인, 인지적 요인, 정서적 요인들이 청소년의 흡연량에 미치는 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 서울시에 거주하며 교육복지투자사업 대상 중학교에 재학 중인 흡연 청소년 104명을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시한 후, 개인적 요인, 인지적 요인, 정서적 요인들이 흡연량에 미치는 영향을 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 본 연구결과에 따르면, 개인적 요인 중 처음 흡연시기가 빠를수록 흡연량이 많아졌으며, 인지적 요인 중 금연효능감과 자기통제력이 높을수록 흡연량이 많아졌다. 이러한 연구결과는 청소년에 대한 흡연 예방 및 초기 개입이 보다 적극적으로 이루어져야 하고, 특히 금연효능감 및 자기통제력에 대한 신중한 접근이 이루어져야 함을 시사하고 있다.
