보육교사의 영유아권리존중 보육의 실행수준과 관련 변인 간의 구조모형 분석: 근무시간, 집단크기, 직무스트레스를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 보육교사의 근무시간과 집단크기가 영유아권리존중 보육의 실행수준에 미치는 직 · 간접적 관계 구조를 살펴보고, 근무시간과 집단크기에서 어린이집 교사의 스트레스를 매개변인으로 영유아권리존중 보육의 실행수준으로 이어지는 구조적 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시와 경기도 소재 어린이집에 근무하고 있는 보육교사 141명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS와 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 활용한 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 근무시간이 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 이르는 직접 경로는 유의하지 않았으나, 직무스트레스를 매개로 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 간접적인 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 집단크기는 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 직접적인 영향력을 가지고 있었으며, 직무스트레스를 매개로 하는 간접경로는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 영유아의 권리가 존중되는 보육 현장을 만들고 보육의 질적 수준을 높이기 위해 필요한 정책적 지원을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study examined the structural relationships between the childcare teachers’ self-report on the respect for child rights and related variables such as working hours, group size and job stress. The subjects of the study were 141 childcare teachers from child care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed using a structural equation modeling using the AMOS 21.0 program. The major results are as follows. First, there was a mediated path from working hours on the child care teachers’ perceived level of respect for child rights through job stress. Second, group-size had a direct effect on the teachers’ self-report on respect for child rights. The indirect path from group-size to the child care teachers’ respect for child rights through job stress was insignificant. Based on these results, necessary policy supports were discussed to improve the overall quality of childcare and to create a classroom environment where the children’s rights are respected.
