도농지역 공동체의식에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 = 대구광역시 달서구, 경상북도 의성군을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 도농지역 주민들의 공동체의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 실증적으로 탐색하여 공동체의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝혀 지역사회 상황에 적합한 공동체의식 향상 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위해 공동체의식에 영향을 미칠 요인을 일반적 특성요인과 지역사회참여요인, 지역사회문제인식 및 태도요인으로 구성하였으며, 조사대상 지역은 대구시 달서구, 경북 의성군으로 한정하였다.
이 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 두 지역 공통적으로, 연령이 높을수록, 거주기간이 길수록, 자가를 소유할수록, 자원봉사활동을 할수록, 사회단체활동에 참여할수록, 지역사회문제인식이 높을수록, 거주지역 만족도가 높을수록 공동체의식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 도시지역인 달서구의 경우 연령층과 주택점유형태가 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못했고, 농촌지역인 의성군은 주택점유형태가 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 공동체의식을 높이기 위해서는 주민의 자원봉사활동 및 사회단체활동을 활성화하고, 지역사회문제의 인식을 높여 나가는 다양한 노력이 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study conducts a practical analysis on these factors that would influence the sense of community found from the residents of the urban and rural areas and finally, aims to present the basic data which would help a community in improving its residents’ sense of community. In order to achieve the research goal, the study determined those factors that affect the sense of community to be these general factor, the local community participation factor and the local social issues recognition and attitude factor, and as for the areas to be investigated, only Dalseo-gu in Daegu and Uiseong-gun in Gyeongbuk were selected.
According to the findings of this study, it was basically confirmed that the older the residents and the longer they live in their communities, they have this greater sense of community. In addition, when the residents have their own houses in the neighborhoods and when they are more passionate about participating in the social community services, they feel closer to their communities. Not only that, their sense of community increases also when the residents have a higher level of understanding on issues of their communities and when they are more satisfied with the communities. In contrast, in case of Dalseo-gu, the urban area, ages and having own houses is not significant and In case of Uiseong-gun, having own houses is not significant.
In the light of what has been learned so far, the study suggests that in order to improve the sense of community, any relevant fields should be willing to encourage the residents to join volunteer activities and social community services as well as they do anything they need to do to increase the residents’ understanding on the problems of the communities.
