대구부 동상면 호적의 동일인 인명 이표기를 통해 본 차자표기 = The Korean Transcriptions with Borrowed Chinese Characters through the Analysis on the Different Transcriptions of One Person's Name in the Census Registers of Daegu-Bu Dongsang-Myeon

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Korean transcriptions with borrowed Chinese characters by extracting and examining the different transcriptions of one person's name from the names of male slaves in the census registers of Daegu-Bu Dongsang-Myeon in 17th-19th centuries.
I had to decode the male slaves' names because most of them were written in the Korean transcriptions with borrowed Chinese characters. But the first thing to do was finding the different transcriptions of one person's name. So, firstly, I explained the way of deciding whether or not the name was the different transcription of one person's name. I could find out the different transcriptions of one person's name in Case 1(The year was different but 里, 統, 戶 and the head of family were same.), Case 2(The year and the head of family were different but 里, 統 and 戶 were same) and Case 3(All were different.). Secondly, I extracted the different transcriptions of one person's name in five types(the different transcriptions of one person's name based on ① a sound, ② a meaning, ③ a similar shape of a character, ④ a change of shape and ⑤ etc.) according to the way of making decisions, and looked them over.
After careful examination, I could find out not only euphonic changes just like a rule of the initial sound, elimination of consonant and vowel-rounding, but also palatalization, typical euphonic change in Modern Korean period. Besides, palatalization of ㄱ, which was founded in only initial sound of first letter, was founded in initial sound of non-first letter. And consonant assimilation that was mentioned in 『Korean Grammar(국문문법)』 written by Ju Sikyung appeared since the late 17th century in this study. Moreover, the phenomenon that /ㆍ/ sound in Sino-Korean words started to change to /ㅏ/ according to the Draft for the Unified Spelling System of Hanguel in 20th century(1993) was founded in the middle of the 19th century.
Finally, if the different transcriptions of one person's name from the female slaves' names in the census registers of Daegu-Bu Dongsang-Myeon are extracted and examined afterwards, they will become good data for the study about the Korean transcriptions with borrowed Chinese characters of Modern Korean period.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목표는 17세기-19세기 대구부 동상면 호적의 노명(奴名)에서 동일인 인명 이표기들을 추출 및 검토하여 여기에 나타난 차자표기에 대하여 살펴보고자 하는 것이다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 동일인 인명 이표기의 판정 방법(年度는 다르지만 里, 統, 戶, 주호가 같은 경우, 年度 및 주호가 다르지만 里, 統, 戶가 같은 경우, 年度뿐만 아니라 里, 統, 戶, 주호가 모두 다른 경우)에 대하여 자세히 설명하였고, 다음 그 판정 방법에 근거하여 다섯 가지 유형(音, 訓에 의한 동일인 인명 이표기, 비슷한 字形과 形態 변화에 의한 동일인 인명 이표기 및 기타)의 동일인 인명 이표기들을 추출하고 자세히 검토하였다.
그 결과, 중세 국어 시기부터 이어져 온 음운 변화(두음법칙, 자음탈락, 원순모음화) 및 근대 국어 시기의 전형적 음운 현상(구개음화)을 볼 수 있고, 비어두음절에서 나타난 ㄱ구개음화, 17세기 후반에 일어난 변자음화 및 19세기 중반에 나타난 한자어에서의 /ㆍ/음 소실 등 기존의 연구와는 다른 음운 현상도 볼 수 있었다.
