The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group Theraplay program on sociability and self-esteem of elementary school students. The research sample consisted of 16 first-grade students of a elementary school located in Kyung-gi area. The students were administered Life-guidance assessment (sociabiity) and self-esteem scale before and after the 10 session program which was based on group Theraplay. The results were following: firstly, concerning the students' sociability, the total score significantly increased after the program. Among various aspects of sociability, students' 'collaboration' score significantly increased after the group Theraplay program. Secondly, though the total score of students' self-esteem did not significantly increased, their 'general self' score significantly increased. Threrfore, group Theraplay program contributed the elementary school students' sociability and partially, self-esteem.
