비전공자를 위한 작곡 교양교과목 개발 운영 사례연구 = A Study on the Development and Operation of Composition Liberal Arts Courses for Non-Music Major Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학에서 음악 비전공 대학생을 대상으로한 교양 강좌로 개설된 “작곡체험을 통한 음악의 이해”라는 교과목의 개발 및 운영을 통하여 나타난 여러 장점과 문제점들을 논의하고 발전 및 개선 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. “기초 음악이론, 멜로디 작곡법, 개러지밴드 앱 활용”의 3가지 단계로 진행된 본 수업에서 작곡에 필수적인 기초 음악이론을 교과 운영을 통해 알아내고, 쇤베르크의 조성음악 작곡이론에 의한 학생들의 멜로디 작곡을 비교 분석하며 여기서 만들어진 멜로디와 화성을 개러지밴드 앱에 적용하는 것을 시도했으며 학생들의 만족도를 분석하였다. 결론으로 실질적인 작곡 능력을 위해서는 조성과 음계 및 음정에 관한 기초 음악이론이 중요하다고 보고, 리듬과 박자에 대한 실습이 보다 요구되며, 멜로디 작곡에 있어 화성과의 조화에 중점을 두도록 하도록 한다. 이 연구는 대학에서 교양 교과목으로서의 창작음악수업과 스마트 폰의 앱을 활용한 수업설계에 향후 발전 방향을 제시하고자 하는 데 의의가 있다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to discuss the various advantages and problems that have emerged through the development and operation of a course called “Understanding Music through Composition Experience”, which was opened as a liberal arts course for college students without majoring in music at universities, and to suggest directions for development and improvement. In this three-step class, “Basic Music Theory, Melody Composition Method, Garage Band Application”, the basic music theory essential for composition was found out through the course operation, and melody composed by students were compared according to Schoenberg's tonal music composition theory. I tried to apply the melody and harmony created here to the Garage Band, and analyzed the satisfaction of the students. In conclusion, basic music theory regarding tonality, scale, and pitch interval is considered important for practical composition ability, more practice on rhythm and time is required, and emphasis should be placed on harmony with chords in melody composition. This study is meaningful in suggesting future development directions for creative music classes as liberal arts subjects in universities and class design using smart phone application.
