The purpose of this study is to see the effects of teachers' creativity and self-efficacy on their role for young children's creativity improvement. The subjects of this study were 290 teachers who worked at the public or private kindergartens in Cheongju, Wonju, Hoengseong-gun, Mungyeong and Seoul. The data were analyzed in by T-test, ANOVA, Duncan's post-analyse, Pearson's correlation, hierarchical regression using SPSS 10.0 Program.
The results of this research were as follows:
First, as a result of examining difference of their teachers' creativity across teachers' general backgrounds. The originality showed significant differences according to an educational level, a teaching career, age of children in their class, books related to the creativity they had read. The curiosity was different across educational level, and participation in the creativity training program.
Second, teacher's self-efficacy on self-regulation had significant differences according to the educational level, a teaching career, the age of children in their class, type of the educational in institution, a teacher's certificate, books related to the creativity they had read, and participating in the creativity training program. Task difficulty had significant difference in accordance with the age, educational level, the age of children in their class, type of the educational institution, and teacher's certificate. Third, the teacher's role for children's creativity improvement, that is role for children's indulgence and perseverance, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and fluency, had significant differences by means of the education level, teaching career, the age of children in their class, type of the educational institution, a teacher's certificate, and books related to the creativity they had read. Their role for children's the indulgence and perseverance, originality improvement was distinguished form a teacher's certificate. Their role for children's flexibility, originality, elaboration, and fluency improvement had significant differences by taking a lesson related creativity and participating in the creativity training program. The role for children's indulgence and perseverance, flexibility, originality, elaboration, improvement had significant difference according to the age.
Fourth, it appeared that teacher's creativity and self-efficacy meaningfully influenced on the teacher's role for children's creativity improvement. Teacher's curiosity originality, and self-efficacy on Self-regulation influenced on teacher's role for children's indulgence and perseverance, flexibility improvement. Moreover, the curiosity, the originality, and the self-efficacy on self-regulation significantly influenced on teacher's role of the children's originality improvement. Teacher's originality and self-efficacy on self-regulation had significant effects on teacher's role for children's Fluency improvement.
