시각장애인을 위한 전시유물 음성설명 구성요소와 규칙 연구 = Audio Explanation Components and Rules of Exhibited Historic Artifacts for Persons with Visual Impairments

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 시각장애인의 문화예술 관람 지원을 위해 박물관의 전시유물 음성설명 구성요소와 규칙을 도출 및 분석하는 것이다. 선행연구 분석을 통해 시각장애인을 위한 전시유물 음성설명의 구성요소를 도출하였고 이를 이용하여 음성설명 초안을 작성하였다. 전문가 두 명의 검증을 거쳐최종 음성설명문을 작성하였다. 작성한 음성설명에 대해 연구참여자 다섯 명을 대상으로 구성요소별 음성설명에 대한 적절성 인식 평가를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 음성설명 구성요소 중 표준정보, 형태, 색감, 표현방식 등에 대한 구체적인 설명이 필요하다고 말하였다. 음성설명을 통한 전시유물의더 높은 이해를 위해서는 실물 모형과 같은 촉각을 이용하는 방법이 필요하고 음성설명을 사용자에게 익숙한 방식으로 설정할 수 있도록 하는 방법을 추가로 언급하였다. 본 연구를 통해 박물관과전시관에서 음성설명을 제작할 때 고려할 점을 제시하였다. 향후에는 시각장애인을 위한 음성설명구성요소와 규칙에 따라 시각장애인을 고려한 음성설명 스크립트를 자동으로 생성하는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to derive and analyze the audio explanation components and rules of exhibited historic artifacts in museums for people with visual impairments.
Through the analysis of previous studies, the components and rules of audio explanation of exhibited historic artifacts for people with visual impairments were derived and the script was written. The written audio explanation script was verified with two experts and modified.
The appropriateness of the verified script was evaluated by five participants with severe visual impairments. As a result, the participants with severe visual impairments suggested that the basic information, shape, color, expression method of the artifacts needed more specific explanation. A method for setting the audio explanation in an individualized way was additionally proposed. This study presented the components required and rules considered when providing audio explanation of exhibited historic artifacts to people with visual impairments. It is necessary to provide audio explanations and scripts for all artifacts in museums for accessible appreciation of people with visual impairments.
