영국의 청소년정책과 시민교육고찰

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyses youth policies and citizenship education since 1997 in England. The aims of study is to investigate the change of youth policies according to the political climate changes. Secondly, this study looks at the citizenship education policies and the contents which has been highlighted by the different governments policies. Finally, this study finds that there are common social problems both in Korea and England, therefore, tried to find the insights from the analysis of youth policies in England. As research methods, key documents were chosen and analysed. As a conclusion, this study suggests that youth policy should reflect on the social and political changes but should be young people-centred. Lastly, citizenship education play an important role in the preparation of the new curriculum in Korea, also citizenship experts are required for the effective citizenship and youth development.
