The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions toward the employment from the undergraduate students and to explore their needs to supports and services of university.
The questionnaire consisted of the general backgrounds to the respondents, the career exploration, the desired fields for employment, their preparations for employment, their needs for employment supports systems of the university.
The data obtained from the undergraduate students were analyzed by SPSSWIN 7.5, and statistical techniques used for this study were Crosstabs(x^2 -test), frequencies, and percentage.
The results were as follows : (1) It was the graduate year time that the undergraduate students decided on their career for employment. (2) The graduate students preferred the independent businesses in order to avoid the uncertainty of employment. (3) It was one's competency that the graduate students considered most important in getting the jobs. Thus, improving their competency should be included in the curriculum development (4) The students felt the supporting systems of the university being insufficient to facilitate the employment preparation (5) It was found that the students wanted to get the information on employments and obtaining application materials. (6) It was found that 4.7% of the student respondents visited the Employment Information Center provides students with more practical information and support students with employment preparation
